"Manjughoksha".... the Sanskrit name of
Buddha of Wisdom. |
In the Classroom:
In the classrooms, children study Tibetan, English, and Nepali every day.
History, mathematics, science, social studies, moral and health sciences,
studies on environment, population and health and computer science are important
parts of the curriculum. Class size varies from small groups of 5 or 6 to
larger classes of kindergarten students numbering about 25. The science
lab, computer lab, and library are well stocked and provide hands-on practice
and enhanced learning. |

Lesson with Tibetan Teacher |
When the Manjughoksha Academy's students took the first board
examinations in 1997 for class five, 72% of the students were rated "first
