Starting the Day:

The Manjughoksha Academy begins the day at 9.00am. Meeting on the playground, students line up to sing 'All Things Bright and Beautiful' and the Nepali and Tibetan national anthems. Inspection for cleanliness and tidiness is followed by general announcements. Weekly winners of the penmanship contest are announced. Then some exercise and the children go to their classrooms where a Tibetan prayer is recited and work begins. Classes last 40 minutes each and the school day ends at 4.00pm. Many students participate in the supervised after-school study group for help with homework and additional instructional support.
